Tom, Vuk plis I need a description of the intrigue, what is the “origin story” of Smash Ljubljana?

In a few words, as I know it. 🥲😂
Smash was like Birdie when Vuk and I used to bake and make pi****** at my house and when you’re wrinkled you want something greasy or McDonalds. Well, when we didn’t want to go to Mecca, we baked burgers at home, but none of them were any good… until we saw how they work in America, and then Vuk bought me a smasher for Christmas and we tried it right away. But, because we’re shit in the loft and we’re very lucky, we’ve already hit the first time and those ingredients have stayed exactly the same. We have tried to make a better-worse combination of meats, but the other bread is not that there are no ingredients, none of them is as good a combination as the first one.
The first time the public found out was when we held a charity event at my house in the atrium during the coronation, once in December, when we were raising money for children and dogs and we sold about 100 burgers – no price, but you pay what you want to donate. We sold it all in 2 hours.
And when we started with Birdie, we wanted to do burgers at the Open Kitchen, but they wouldn’t let us, so we half-did the carbonara. But shortly after that was the Beer and Burger fest and we did smash for the first time. And when the one from the Open tried it, he himself said after the first bite “ok next week Open Kitchen with this”. And so it began.
Half of Smash was opening a pop-up restaurant on the terrace of the City Hotel the following summer, and we already knew we wanted to take this story further.
So that’s how the team was half-formed and shortly after that we opened the biggest place on Šubičeva and gave Smash a place on the LJ scene.
